PODCASTING & STORYTELLING - THE SPECIAL TEAMS OF BUSINESS
What do special teams have to do with the world of business!?
Every business has its own sort of special teams - members coming together to perform specialized duties to "win the game." This may include a media and content department working hard to get the voice and message of their business out into the world.
For example, special teams members here at The Aebli Group create content for our clients to engage and connect by interviewing, processing audio and video, transcribing interviews, and editing them into full-length products or bite-sized social media content.
Special teams' performances are highly correlated with their team's success, and yet they are one of the most overlooked units in football! Media and content may just be that one team your business is missing to take you to the next level!
The world has changed a lot in the past decade! The way in which people obtain their information, form opinions, and ultimately consume has shifted to a strong technology-based platform. As technology and accessibility grow, so does the number of businesses with the desire and ability to be seen. In order for a business to keep up, reach new clients, and stand apart, it must adapt to this new technological world.
Not only has the medium changed by which companies and consumers engage, but also your consumer's desire and ability to make informed decisions. People want to know who they are buying from, supporting, and working with!
There are numerous new ways to address this and connect with your clients and customers, from social media to blogs, video content, and audio.
DO NOT underestimate the power of a good podcast!
A podcast offers you a unique opportunity to share your story and your message all through your own voice.
A strong podcast unlocks the whole story behind a dream, recognizes and shines a light on the amount of work and effort it took to achieve that dream, highlights the knowledge and passion, and connects the viewer with the business on a personal level.
Podcasts create relationships.
Matt states," When I hear good radio ads, it's because the owner is on the air talking about their product. I like that better than having them hire someone to tell me about their product."
Justin adds, "Well, it's more authentic. Podcasts have the ability to tell a story and inject personality, which makes a difference in creating trust because today people are only buying from folks that they know they can trust, and even if they've never met you, this is like a virtual handshake. "

About the Author: Justin Starbird I have been fortunate to have had several entrepreneurs that came before me take the time to “pull back the curtains” and allow me to be a part of their multi-million dollar companies… and actually value my input. They allowed me to see their mistakes and learn from their real-world lessons so that I wouldn’t have to pay the expensive costs of experience on my own. Additionally, they taught me what really works and the importance of action - not just ideas.
